On Saturday, March 23, 2024 Montclair Presbyterian Church friends and family will gather for a wonderful afternoon featuring a storyteller's epic and TRUE saga of his thrilling adventure to rescue his daughter in Mexico! Plus live music by our own rock band, "The Ruling Elders," delicious climate-friendly food & wine, and a spectacular silent auction! Proceeds will support MPC's programs, including our social justice programs, music and choir, and children's programs. A portion of the proceeds with support Focus for Democracy, which works to increase strategic voter turnout in a non-partisan way. At Montclair Presbyterian Church, we believe that one of the best ways to live out our faith is to take action to help Oakland and surrounding communities. It’s all part of our social justice emphasis, which includes environmental activism, anti-racism work, feeding the hungry, gathering warm clothing and supplies for the homeless in Oakland.

Auction categories include Travel opportunities; Amazing Experiences (dinners with local celebrities, tickets to a fantastic show, a Hive Dive with hands-on experience inspecting a bee hive or an Eco-home tour and climate friendly lunch; Crafts and Art such as hand-crafted items, fine art and jewelry; Home, Gifts and Treats, including home-baked goods, antique or new household items and decor; Spectacular Services, like gardening, dog walking, or consulting by you; and Gift Certificates from your favorite businesses. And of course we always love Fine Wine!
