Description

The Montessori School of McLean Parent’s Association (MSMPA) will host our Spring Fundraising Gala & Auction in April 2024, celebrating the 50th school year of the Montessori School of McLean (MSM), founded in 1973. Today the school has two toddler classes (24-36 months of age), five primary classes (age 3-Kindergarten), three lower elementary classes (first through third grade), and an upper elementary class (fourth through sixth grade). Our school community of parents, alumni and staff will be looking for valuable products and services to purchase to support our school through the Annual Auction, sponsored by the MSMPA, to enhance MSM’s educational offerings.

Auction items will be sold to the highest bidder during our Online Auction on BiddingforGood from March 26 through April 5, 2025, and a Live Auction will be held at the MSMPA Spring Gala on the evening of April 5, 2025. A description of donated auction items will be included on the auction website (https://www.biddingforgood.com/MSM) along with the company’s name and a link to the company’s website. The online auction will be viewable by the entire BiddingforGood community, outside of just the school families, alumni and staff to which we market our event. If an item is selected by the MSMPA Auction Committee to be featured in the Live Auction, the company name will be featured in the Gala program and mentioned by the auctioneer.

Proceeds from this year’s Auction will be used to support continued key capital improvements related to the recent purchase of the entire campus. These substantial improvements include the renovation of the Martlet Center for the Arts and Science that will include a new STEAM lab, robotics arena, performing arts space and arts center, as well upgrades to the toddler playground and current student and administrative spaces. Proceeds will also support annual classroom capital improvements and teacher professional development opportunities such as conferences and seminars.
