Museum's Season of Giving Open House
Gala/Party for Brick Store MuseumDec 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
The Brick Store Museum is one of the only museums in the state of Maine to be open year-round, and features rotating exhibitions, monthly programming, and educational initiatives that connect our community members together through the lens of history. Our most important job is ensuring that history can help all of us see ourselves in others: past, present, or future.
The Museum does not receive any government or town funding, and as such, must raise 100% of its budget each year. The Museum hosts a Community Open House every year in mid-December, during which we offer free admission, appetizers, desserts and a friendly space to visit with neighbors, family and friends at the Museum, furthering our vision to be a community gathering and sharing space.
During this event, we host a silent auction to dually raise funds for the Museum's year-round operations in support of our educational mission, as well as offer guests last-minute gift ideas that not only offer unique items but support the Museum as well.
