Description

The OTHS Choir Boosters Organization is hosting a Music Trivia Fundraiser on March 16th, 2024. All
proceeds from this event directly support the OTHS Choir program and its students. This year, we would
like to raise enough money to replace the outdated analog sound board, and purchase a digital soundboard.
This is an important asset for a choir program with such diverse needs as ours, a digital soundboard would
provide versatility, portability, and efficiency.
In the digital age, technology plays a pivotal role in music production. Digital soundboards provide precise
control over the audio mix. This level of control is crucial for capturing the nuances of the ensemble’s
blend and overall sound quality. Additionally, they integrate with recording and playback devices, enabling
the choir to explore creative possibilities in live and recorded performance. A digital soundboard also offers
a wide range of digital effects, presets, and configurations, allowing it to adapt seamlessly to various
ensembles, genres, and performance venues. Unlike traditional analog soundboards, digital counterparts are
often more compact and lightweight, making them highly portable - an especially important consideration
for all the performances we have around town. Ultimately, this addition will help make live performances
and rehearsals have a higher sound quality with less work.
We are in the process of asking friends of the choir to help in any way possible. Members of the OTHS
Choir Boosters may be visiting you to ask for your help with this event through donations and/or
sponsorships. These representatives can answer any questions you may have regarding its
operations.
OTHS, and subsequently the OTHS Choir and Boosters Organization, is a non-profit organization and
donations are tax deductible. Documentation for tax purposes is available upon request. We thank you in
advance for any way that you may be able to contribute to our event and support the arts in O'Fallon.
Sincerely,
Heidi Polett
