Welcome Golfers and Community Partners,

Family Service Society, Inc. would like to invite you to join us in golfing or become a sponsor of our Myron & Anne Crispino “Chips Fore Children” Memorial Golf Tournament. All proceeds from this tournament help support the Laura Richardson Houghton Corning Youth Center.

The Laura Richardson Houghton Corning Youth Center, a program of Family Service Society, is located at 79 Flint Ave. in Corning. It is a free, safe drop-in center for children ages 8-18. Children come to the Center to get help with homework, participate in educational and cultural activities, work on arts and crafts, socialize with other children and the staff, have fun participating in a variety of recreational activities, and receive a free meal when they are hungry.

The Corning Youth Center serves thousands of nutritious hot meals and hearty snacks each year to hungry children in Corning. Most of the youth who come to the Corning Youth Center are from families with poverty-level incomes who face daily struggles such as hunger, substandard housing, inadequate child care, and trouble paying bills. Furthermore, these children are “at-risk” for participation in negative behaviors such as drug and alcohol use, teen pregnancy, violence, and dropping out of school. Additionally, they are often struggling academically and socially. It is these very children who need a positive after school and summer environment, such as the Corning Youth Center, where they can be nourished intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

With your help we can continue to provide local children with a variety of educational enrichment experiences, the life skills they need to excel in school and in life, recreational activities to enhance their quality of life, healthy meals to nourish their bodies, and adult role models who believe in them, support them, and encourage them to strive to be their best.

Please help us continue to provide a safe place with free, nutritious meals to local children who would otherwise go without. Your support through a tax-deductible sponsorship of the 2022 Myron & Anne Crispino Chips Fore Children Memorial Golf Tournament will have an important impact on local, needy children.
