On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the NC Old Town National City Foundation is co-sponsoring the 2nd Annual “National City Cancer Walk”. Due to construction at Pepper Park in National City, the walk this year will be at the J Street Marina in Chula Vista. 

This is our main fundraising event in which participants join us to WALK in the FIGHT AGAINST CANCER. Honoring all cancer patients, those we’ve lost, those fighting and survivors of his terrible disease. Families, neighbors, friends, teams of individuals, corporations, clubs and organizations will be joining us as we raise FUNDS that will REMAIN LOCAL. Following last year’s event, we were able to assist 30 cancer patients ($1,000 each) in our community. We are working harder this year to help even more. 

Please consider donating to the “National City Cancer Walk” fundraising event. We will have a survivor tent with sashes, gift bags, luncheon, and prize drawings for approximately 125 cancer patients / survivors. We are requesting beverages, items for their gift bags, items for the prize drawings such as gift baskets, gift cards, and gift certificates. Any donated funds or in-kind donations are 100% tax deductible.
