Other Event Type for University of Texas Arlington Police DepartmentOct 05, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
The UT Arlington Police Department is preparing for another award-winning National Night Out event, scheduled for Tuesday, October 5, 2021. The 38th Annual National Night Out" (NNO) event is a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).
National Night Out is designed to:
Ø Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Ø Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
Ø Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
Ø Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
In previous years, National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. UT Arlington’s National Night Out event includes over 2,000 students, faculty and staff each year. Last year’s event was not a huge turn-out due to the pandemic (COVID-19). However, we plan to have a successful turn-out this year with the community involvement.
We respectfully ask if you would like to give a monetary, gift card, in-kind or prize donation to support our outreach efforts please feel free to do so. We would also be honored for your group to join us at the UT Arlington National Night Out event, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the University of Texas at Arlington. Please let us know if you are interested in participating and will need a table for this event.
