In collaboration with the National Parks and Recreation Association, The City of Sachse has pronounced July as National Parks and Recreation Month.  To celebrate, we are hosting a Facebook Raffle contest that will encourage citizens in the area to visit and support local parks, stores, and businesses to go along with the National Parks and Recreation Month theme, “Where Community Grows.”

To participate in the raffle, citizens would gain raffle entries by visiting Sachse parks, taking photos at the park, and tagging us on Facebook.  Each person gets one entry per park visited.  Community members are able to enter the raffle July 1st - July 31st.  The winner will be announced on August 1st and will be able to pick up their prize at the Michael J. Felix Community Center in Sachse, TX.

We are gathering items to stuff a prize basket with goodies, coupons, gift certificates, promo items, and more from local businesses in the area to celebrate and grow our wonderful community.  At the moment we have free item coupons, gift cards, free meal vouchers, and promotional items from various businesses in the area. 

We hope that introducing this event would encourage participants to get out into the community and enjoy visiting new businesses or places they may not have seen before.
