National Child Abuse Prevention Month (NCAPM) is an annual observance held each April that recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect.

To honor this observance, GSMYC created our first annual Community Scavenger Hunt. This free event will be an opportunity for families to spend time together, interact with local businesses, and learn about the protective factors that prevent child abuse.

GSMYC has partnered with 4 local businesses that will serve as stops where participants will read about a protective factor, take a short quiz, and earn a sticker. Once participants collect 5 stickers, they will be entered in our raffle for a chance to win a gift basket. A total of 3 winners will be chosen, and all in-kind donations received will be placed in these gift baskets.
