Nea Community Learning Center is a public charter school located in Alameda, California that serves a socioeconomically and ethnically diverse population of learners from the residential communities of Alameda, Oakland and beyond. Nea is ranked as one of the most diverse public schools in America based on Niche rankings.

The mission of Nea is to empower the nearly 600 k-12 youth it serves to take ownership of their educational experience, to celebrate their diverse community, and to actively participate as members of a democratic society. Nea’s approach to education is focused on a project- based learning model that promotes active and exploratory learning and allows the learners to experience the self-discovery journey through various stages of development. Our core values help learners develop beyond academics into engaged citizens, productive and responsible people, and active lifelong learners

Each year, parents and generous community members like you come together to support the Nea PTSA to ensure that our school can:

Offer arts and music to every student in every grade -- taught by professionals
Keep our library well-stocked.
Provide our teachers with the materials they need in the classroom, including computers and materials.
Ensure every child regardless of ability pay can attend enriching field trips throughout the year

 
We would like to invite you to join the PTSA in supporting the students and teachers at Nea by making an in-kind donation to be highlighted at our annual auction. Nea Night Out 2023: Marine Dream will be held both virtually AND in person this year on Saturday April 22nd, 2023. We anticipate 150-200 people to attend the event which will be held at the Rake in Alameda and to reach 500-600 people through the online auction. Our goal this year is to raise $60,000 to help support the amazing programs that the PTSA funds.
