Description
Our family started the Negrete Firefighter Foundation in honor of José Negrete. Jose has been a part of the central Texas community since the age of three. He graduated from Copperas Cove high school in 2007. Jose became a firefighter, and he served the Copperas Cove fire department and his community since May 2, 2016. His selfless service carried all the way until the very end. He passed away from a line of duty illness on July 28, 2020. We want to continue his legacy through helping aid future firefighters achieve their dreams. The amount of scholarships that are given are based upon the funds raised through fundraisers and donations provided by the local community.
