On Friday, February 9, 2024, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida will host the 2024 Orlando Golf Tournament. The tournament will celebrate our 6th year of raising funds to benefit patients at the Jennifer Lynn Schott Childhood Arthritis Clinic.  

Known as Jenny’s Place, the clinic provides vital care and support to hundreds of children and their families annually.  A team of multidisciplinary health care providers helps patients overcome the extraordinary physical, emotional and mental challenges associated with managing childhood arthritis and chronic illness.  The medical team is also actively involved in the top research programs that allow leading pediatric rheumatology centers to advance the understanding of childhood arthritis, with the objective of achieving remission/inactive disease.   The success of this golf tournament has enabled creation of the Schott Family Endowment for Pediatric Rheumatology Advancement and continues the legacy of Jennifer Lynn Schott, who worked ceaselessly to benefit others despite her own battle with childhood arthritis, which took her life at age 26. 

The tournament will be held at the Shingle Creek Golf Club at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.  The event also features networking with Central Florida business leaders and opportunities for engagement.  We expect the event to sell out, with more than 140 golfers participating and reaching a much wider audience through advertising campaigns through email and social media.  Last year our event raised more than $163,000!
