All youth deserve opportunities to grow and learn in positive environments. That’s why New Directions for Youth (NDY) has continued over the past 49 years to provide comprehensive programs that assist high-risk youth to become productive, self-sufficient, healthy young adults. On Sunday, May 5th, 2024, we will hold our New Directions for Youth Fashion Show and Sunday Brunch.  This fundraising event held in partnership with MACY’s Topanga, supports our programs.

Since 1975, NDY has helped create supportive and safe family environments by working directly with the families in our Los Angeles County neighborhoods and in their homes, serving 3,000 at-risk youth and their families annually in the San Fernando Valley. NDY has improved the lives of high-risk kids and their families through counseling, job skills training, after-school activities and placement, tutoring and literacy programs, anti-graffiti and environmental programs, health referrals, alternatives to gang involvement, recreational programs, human trafficking recovery and computer courses. The NDY programming and services are provided free of charge.

One of the ways we fund our programs and services is through the generosity of those who attend and participate in our fundraisers. We are reaching out to the community and asking for your help via donations for our silent auction. Please consider donating tickets, gift cards, or any item you believe may be of value to raise funds for our youth programs. In addition, we are giving away 200 goodie bags, and we are happy to include donor brand materials in the bags in exchange for a donation.

The funds that we receive from this annual event will be put back into our programs, supporting NDY’s long-standing mission to help the high-risk youth in our community.
