Description

I am writing on behalf of the New Jersey Association for College Admissions Counseling. Our group is the state’s affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). NACAC is the only non-profit professional association whose members come from secondary schools, community-based organizations, colleges and universities.  NJACAC is comprised of 1000+ professionals dedicated to the goal of helping students transition from high school to college. (NJACAC Tax ID # is 22-2918655).

We are again seeking items we can offer at our auction at the 2017 Annual Conference, which will take place at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, NJ from May 21st – 23rd. We would appreciate a donation of any kind, which could be used, during our fundraising event or to be used during our silent auction. Your donation will help us achieve our goal for this fundraiser, which is to be able to continue to offer the Camp College program for free.

Camp College is an overnight program, hosted on a college campus each July, which aims to introduce students from traditionally underserved backgrounds to the college admissions process. This includes students who come from low-income families and/or have parents who did not attend college. Specifically, this program is geared towards rising high school seniors who would like some additional support finding the best college matches and successfully completing the application process. Having the students spend two days and one night on a college campus is an invaluable component of our program, as we aim to demystify what it means to go away to college. In addition, students will learn about how to research colleges, fill out applications, and apply for financial aid.

Your generous donation will be publicly acknowledged at our event through promotional announcements and fliers, as well as a logo and prominent note in our program. We feel that your organization will benefit from the community goodwill generated by your kind donation to our group.

Please consider donating to this very important cause, and know that we will also work hard to promote your organization to our guests in attendance.  To learn more about our group or our event, feel free to contact me or visit the NJACAC website at njacac.org. Donations can be mailed to Nicole Cibelli, Director of Admission, Bloomfield College, 1 Park Place, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

Thank you for your consideration of our request, and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Nicole Cibelli
