Dear Community Leader,

Thank you for considering how you can help Newark Elks Lodge #2281 (501(C)(3)(36-0793011) EIN# 92-2747453, of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, support the Wreaths Across America and our local VA Hospital.  The Newark Elks are very active in our local VA hospital, especially the CLC which is a nursing home for veterans.  Elk volunteers will use your donations to provide a better life for those veterans who are in the twilight of life.  They do this with special dinners, outings to baseball games, fishing and bowling, every year in celebration of Flag Day these veterans are invited to participate in a presentation of the history of the American Flag.

The Elks are a unique organization whose mission is to build stronger communities by investing in the communities that we live in. Some of our projects include working closely with the Elsmere Veterans Hospital to support our local veterans, providing scholarship funds for 8 graduating high school students each year, and supporting the food pantry at Pleasantville Elementary School. We support our children through financial support of youth sport leagues and Elks Drug Awareness Program.  The past two years we have supported needy families by giving 250 turkey dinners for the Thanksgiving holiday.  We have been very active in providing financial support to community organizations such as Warriors Helping Warriors, Little Sisters of the Poor, and Howard J Weston Community Center.

Newark Elks Lodge #2281 recognizes that member Ms. Angela Williams (awilliams828@gmail.com 302-983-6609) is organizing a Quarter Auction on Saturday, May 17th  from 2:00pm – 6:00pm at the Newark Elks Lodge located at 42 Elk Trail (off RT273), New Castle, Delaware.

An All-In-Paddle Auction is a fun and unique fundraiser that uses numbered balls that are selected and corresponds to the bidder's paddle number, and when the numbered ball is drawn, the corresponding paddle holder wins the associated item or prize at that drawing. The ball is re-entered to be potentially drawn multiple times. This format allows for a more streamlined bidding process, as participants make a single donation for a chance to win, rather than engaging in competitive bidding.  We will also have a variety of other games at the event for people to win other prizes.
