Arms Wide Open's mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs by fostering caring social environments and creating opportunities for recreation and participation in the arts.  Arms Wide Open's new performing program, Inspire, will present twelve performances of Newsies: The Musical from May 10 to 19 at the Theatre at the Educational Cultural Complex of San Diego Community College District.  Inspire is designed for people with and without disabilities, givng each participant the chance to learn from others who share the same love of performance and who can offer valuable life lessons.  At each performance, Arms Wide Open will hold a raffle to raise funds to support its scholarship fund, which allows low-income families to participate in AWO's classes and performances.  Opening Night will include a post-performance VIP reception with an expanded raffle.
