Nia Project Annual Fundraiser
Online Auction for Emory University/ The Nia ProjectApr 14, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
The Nia Project’s mission is to empower women who have survived interpersonal violence and suicidal behavior. The Nia Project's slogan is "The purpose of life is a life of purpose." We provide completely free mental health services, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy, crisis management, social and community activities, case management services including providing financial support for necessary resources, and advocacy. Most of our members are Black women, faced with many challenges such as being low-income, having limited resources, or being homeless.
Fundraiser Info
We put on a fundraiser every year that includes an online auction that reaches up to 1,000 people so that we can continue to run Nia and offer free services, specifically financial and other resources to the members of Nia. Last year we were able to raise around $25,000 due to the contributions of our donors providing gift cards, items, and tickets for our auction. We would like to match that at a minimum this year and possibly double it to provide even more opportunities for our Nia community members! We couldn’t do this without the generous donations from our donors for the fundraiser. Donors will be acknowledged throughout the fundraiser and on our social media/website.
