Description

The Night Ministry’s Associate Board is excited to announce our annual Night Lights Gala. This is the Associate Board’s largest fundraising event of the year and will take place on Thursday, October 5th, from 6pm through 9pm, at Marshall’s Landing located in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago (222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza).

Since its founding in 1976, The Night Ministry has provided human connection, housing support, and health care to members of the Chicago community who are unhoused or experiencing poverty. In the past year alone, The Night Ministry served more than 5,900 young people and adults in Chicago – with your help our important mission can continue and grow. The Night Ministry also strives to be a good financial steward by maintaining a 4-star Charity Navigator rating and obtaining the Better Business Bureau's highest level of standard for an Accredited Charity.

The Night Ministry’s Associate Board supports the overall mission and activities of the organization. Acting as ambassadors of the agency, we engage the community through volunteering, fundraising, networking, and advocacy opportunities targeted towards young professionals. In the most recent fiscal year, we contributed $45,000 in support of The Night Ministry.

This year’s Night Lights Gala will directly benefit The Night Ministry’s Youth Programs. Designed to support unhoused young people in meeting their housing needs by providing shelter and critical supportive services, last year The Night Ministry’s Youth Programs served 535 young people and more than 100 of their children. Specifically, Night Lights will raise funds for two of The Night Ministry’s shelter programs: Interim Housing, which helps youth stabilize through safe and nurturing short-term housing, and Parenting with Purpose, which offers long-term housing for young mothers and their children.
