Dear Donation Committee:

I am writing on behalf of Farmingdale S.E.P.T.A. S.E.P.T.A is an acronym for Special Education Parent Teacher Association. We are a special education PTA with members from all of the schools within our district. As such we are not for profit. S.E.P.T.A. brings together children, parents, teachers, administrators, service providers, family, and friends in an effort to promote understanding of children with special needs and provide appropriate support.

We have many programs and activities that we coordinate with including a specialty swim program called SPLASH, family fun outings, social skills programs, teacher grants, achievement awards, and even an end of the year dance. We are always looking for new ways to give back to our very special children. Our monthly meetings offer opportunities to hear guest speakers, meet with others with similar experiences and share our stories.

In addition to all that was mentioned above, each year, S.E.P.T.A. presents outstanding students with Scholar Awards.  We appreciate the generous donations from parents, our school community and businesses that allow for this recognition.  This school year we hope to again acknowledge motivated children who have received special education services, and we are asking for your support of this worthy endeavor.

On March 14th, 2019, S.E.P.T.A. is hosting our Annual Night of Laughs Fundraiser. Your donations of products, services or gift certificates will be used to raise money to help fund all of the above mentioned programs, as well as giving the parents a much-needed night of laughs. 100% of all proceeds from the event will be donated back to our children and community.  All donations will be acknowledged at our event.
