NJACAC 2022 Conference and Fundraiser for NJ Camp College, College Key & Scholarships
Other Event Type for New Jersey Association of College Admission Counseling (NJACAC)May 24, 2022 4:00 PM to May 26, 2022 4:00 PM
We are again seeking items we can offer at our fundraiser at the 2022 Annual Conference, which will take place May 24th - 26th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. We would appreciate a donation of any kind that will be used during our fundraising event or as a part of our silent auction, (gift cards/ticket vouchers are great prizes). Your donation will help us achieve our goal for this fundraiser, which is to be able to continue to offer Camp College and College Key free to the NJ students as well as offer scholarships through the association.
· Camp College - Camp College is a free 2-day, overnight program for traditionally underrepresented, low-income, first-generation college-bound students. After being virtual for 2 years we are moving the event back to an on-campus location! This event is open to students going into the 12th grade in September. The focus of this workshop is to introduce students to college life and further the discussion on the college admissions and selection process. Camp College is hosted by a New Jersey college or university and allows students the opportunity to experience campus life first hand by staying on-campus overnight. Topics covered during Camp College are the college application, the college essay, recommendation letters, financial aid, and other prominent college admissions topics.
· College Key - College Key is a free college admissions workshop for traditionally underrepresented, low income, and first generation high school students. This event is open to 10th and 11th grade high school students and their parents and/or guardians.
· Scholarships - NJACAC awards scholarships annually to high school seniors, community college students who are enrolling at a four-year institution, and to a current graduate student who is enrolled in a school counseling or higher education administration program. Scholarship recipients, parents/guardians and counselors are acknowledged at the yearly Annual NJACAC Conference.
Your generous donation will be publicly acknowledged at our event through promotional announcements, fliers and social media. We feel that your organization will benefit from the community goodwill generated by your kind donation to our group.
Please consider donating to this very important cause, and know that we will also work hard to promote your organization to our guests in attendance. To learn more about our group or our event, feel free to contact me or visit the NJACAC website at njacac.org. Donations can be mailed to NJACAC Donation, c/o Nicole Cibelli, 270 Eagle Rock Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068.
