Noche de CALOR Fundraiser
Gala/Party for AIDS Healthcare Foundation / CALOROct 14, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
CALOR (Comprensión y apoyo a latinos en oposición al retrovirus) was founded in 1990 as a grassroots community-based HIV organization. Today, we are 33 years old and continue to provide free, vital health services to both the Latino and LGBTQ communities. Part of our work includes HIV/STI awareness and education, free HIV and STI testing, linkage to medical care and treatment, and housing and case management services. Historically, we have served the Latino and LGBTQ communities in Chicago including uninsured/underinsured people, undocumented individuals and monolingual Spanish speakers. Each year we serve over 5,000 people in the city of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
In order to raise funds for our organization, we are hosting a “Noche de CALOR” fundraiser on Saturday, October 14th from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Latin Rhythms Academy of Dance and Performance which is located at 210 N. Racine, Chicago, IL 60607. The evening will include refreshments, appetizers, entertainment, a silent auction and raffle prizes. Our goal is to be able to expand our current programs’ reach within the city of Chicago and beyond so we are able to reach more communities in need. Your in-kind donation will help us have a successful fundraising evening. To acknowledge your donation, we will include your logo at the event and we will include your name in the live mentions throughout the evening. We will also list our donors and sponsors on our social media pages and print advertisement.
