Description

Noche de Mezcal is an educational fundraiser for Comunidades Indigenas en Liderazgo (CIELO). Through this event we engage with local community members, funders, and individuals throughout the greater Los Angeles area interested in supporting our work and the communities we serve. At the Noche De Mezcal we educate our guests on the history and cultural significance of Mezcal for indigenous migrant communities. We source artisan mezcal from different donors and pair them with traditional Oaxacan dishes to provide a one of a kind experience for everyone in attendance. Also included is a silent auction where various items sourced from individual donors and organizations are placed for guests to admire and invest in. The funds generated from this event help support CIELO’s operational budget and provide a unique opportunity for donors to show a public gesture of solidarity with migrant communities in Los Angeles.
