Description

“Conservation and Education Reptile Rescue” is a unique 501c3 Educational Charity (#88-4128747) focused on learning and community improvement.  We serve all of New England (and located on the Connecticut / Massachusetts border).  Housed inside a Conservation Zoo, we use “Ambassador Animals” (which are disabled, abandoned, or rescued) for hands-on Education about Diversity, Inclusion, Ecology, and Science (aligned with State Curriculum Standards).  By partnering with Schools, Libraries, and Community Centers (in collaboration with Emergency Response Teams, Police, and other Nonprofits), our programs help ensure both safety and awareness about venomous animals which initially “appear scary” but are usually misunderstood – and highly critical to Earth’s sustainability.  Our Rescues are often Endangered Species removed by Protection Agencies (to reduce illegal pet trading) or taken by children “accidentally” from nature (and who are then unable to care for them).  Many arrive with missing eyes or limbs; we provide essential care and our Educators incorporate them as “Co-Teachers” to teach Diversity and Social Acceptance (offering Youth hands-on opportunities to engage with rarely-seen creatures from across the World).

For our upcoming events, we’re collaborating with other charities for a family-friendly Gala Fundraiser at a Conservation Zoo.  While there are many agencies to serve dogs and cats, ours is the ONLY Educational Charity dedicated to supporting abandoned reptiles, amphibians, and oversized fish – all critical to community sustainability.  Our Fundraising Gala will include an Online Auction, On-Site Raffles, Dessert Buffet, Author Book Signings, Ambassador Animals, Photo, and Art Contests.  Donors will be thanked publicly on our social media sites and newsletters.  We anticipate 300 on-site Attendees (and have 20,000 followers online, to watch the Auction).  We would greatly appreciate donations of Items (like "Admission Tickets" or "Gift Cards") for our Online Auction and Raffles – or in-Kind "Product Donations" for the Gala Dessert Buffet.  Funds will be used for our Youth Education Programs.  For details about us (and cute photos of our “Animal Co-Teachers”), please visit www.cereptilerescue.com.  Thank you for your consideration!
