Fact: Fatal car crashes among teens involving alcohol or other substances increases during the prom season.

We are writing to ask that your business consider donating to Northwood High School’s PTSA Silent Auction.  The silent auction is our biggest fundraiser and it helped us pay for the After Prom venue and vendors. This also allowed us to offer this event free to seniors, mini grants were given to teachers with special projects.

We are hosting a Silent Auction/ Community Night on December 3,2022 to raise funds.  Help us ensure that all our high school seniors can attend the After-Prom event, regardless of their financial situation.  Your donations will help us to provide a fun, supervised, alcohol-free After Prom party so students have a perfect prom evening and most importantly, return home safely.  This year’s Prom is on May 20, 2023, at the Silver Spring Civic Center followed by After Prom.

The Northwood High School PTSA, with the help of our Silver Spring Community, Northwood families, and local businesses and organizations like yours, hope to meet its goal of raising $20,000 of costs related to this event.  In gratitude for your gift, we will promote and advertise your company’s generosity in our monthly school newspaper and school website (https://www.northwoodptsa.com). The auction catalog is electronically provided to over 1,000 Northwood High School families and multiple local on-line Community Listservs

Your donation is fully tax-deductible (Northwood PTSA’s Tax ID [EIN] is 20-2852405) and we will send you a donation letter for your records after the auction is over.  Our online Silent Auction will continue to take donations up until Friday, December 2, 2022.  Please consider supporting our Northwood High School.
