Join NYC SALT as we celebrate 20 years of empowering underserved youth through the transformative power of visual arts! This special anniversary event will showcase the inspiring journeys of our students, highlighting their artistic achievements and successful pathways to college and careers. Come celebrate with us and support NYC SALT's continued mission to provide opportunities and mentorship for young artists from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of agency, belonging, and integrated identity through the lens of a camera.

We are hosting our 20 year celebration get together and Silent Auction Fundraiser at the Affirmation Arts studio on Thursday, November 7th 2024. The event will draw 200+ young professionals, alumni to the program and long-time supporters and all of the proceeds will go directly toward SALT programming.

Use of proceeds

1:1 Guidance Counseling (In NYC, there is a 325:1 ratio of students to each guidance counselor in public schools)
College Visits (SALT aims to fund transportation, food, and lodging to visit 10-15 colleges this year)
Application Workshops (For their senior year, students will attend weekly 3-hour workshops on Monday afterschool to complete application before deadlines in November and December)
Application Bootcamps (Our programming starts with a summer intensive bootcamp the last week in August before our students’ senior year of high school. Students spend a dedicated week before school starts finalizing college lists, completing the common app and working on essays)
All tickets to the event and proceeds from the silent auction are to raise funds that will 100% go directly to the SALT program. We have several items up for auction from art, fitness classes, restaurants, experiences and more!
