The ladies of First Wesleyan Church (Clinton TN) annually host a one day mini-retreat/Christmas luncheon as a time of fellowship and relaxation during a busy season of the year.  The event features crafts, singing, games, and a carry-in lunch.  Ladies and teen girls from the surrounding area are invited to join us, bringing the number of attendees to 49-60 people

Items,  ranging from homemade cookies and creme horns to photo sessions and housecleaning, are auctioned by one of our committee members.  A highlight of the day is the auction of tickets from area attractions and events.  The funds generated through the auction are used for special projects.  An ongoing project is the support of a family from our church who serve in the country of Papua New Guinea.  Another project has been to help the area elementary school to provide coats, shoes, and supplies for some of their needy students.

We leave the Oasis feeling refreshed in body, mind, and spirit -- knowing we have focused on the source of JOY
