Description

Once Upon Time-Heart of Texas Goodwill Annual Gala

This gala is our largest annual fundraiser to help serve communities in central Texas. We expect 300 people in attendance to help raise funds for our various programs. The goal of this year’s event is to raise $100,000 or more. One of the avenues to raise funds is a silent auction. We are seeking donations of value of $50 or more to maximize our efforts. Your donation could help us achieve this goal. Alls Funds go to our programs.

A brief description of our programs is below:

Job Readiness Training – resume building, application submission, and interviewing skills

Goal Planning and Job Search Assistance – identify career goals and pursue gainful employment within the desired career path.

Computer Classes and Training – classroom training for Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and internet usage

The Accelerate program helps individuals fast track their job search for sustainable employment within 3-4 months of enrollment.

Operation Good Jobs is a program dedicated to assisting veterans and their immediate family members by connecting them to sustainable employment opportunities while exploring ways to increase their skills, continue their education, or connect to other community services.

The Rise Program is designed to help those looking to take their career to new heights with an accredited high school diploma.

Work Adjustment Training (WAT) is a paid on-the-job training program that provides an opportunity to learn the universal skills needed in the workforce.
