As our major fundraising event of the year, proceeds from the Gala make it possible for us to continue our 72 year-old tradition of serving as an affordable center for family entertainment and literacy in the heart of Oakland. This festive event helps raise funds so that over 192,000 visitors from all over the Bay Area and the world can continue to explore, imagine, learn and enjoy this very magical place. Your generous contribution makes the many programs Children's Fairyland offers to children in the Bay Area possible, such as Head Start Day where every City of Oakland Head Start child and their family attend this special day, and Toddler Storytime where we demonstrate that talking, reading, and singing to babies and toddlers is critical to brain development and success in school.
