On Wednesday, May 24th, 2023, at the Palais Royale Ballroom in Toronto, The Kidney Foundation of Canada is hosting their annual gala: “Once Upon a Time in Toronto” back to in-person format in four years. This year’s event will take a step back in time and highlight the remarkable advances in nephrology made right here in Toronto.

This year, “Once Upon a Time in Toronto” will also recognize the extraordinary work of Nephrologist, Dr. Paul Tam. He is the Medical Director, at North America’s largest regional nephrology program - Scarborough Health Network. The program provides renal care to more than 6,000 chronic kidney disease patients. We are pleased to highlight both his commitment to kidney care and the nephrology community. 

Each year our gala event attracts individuals from the Greater Toronto Area’s medical, corporate and social communities. Together we will pay tribute to the leaders in our kidney community and celebrate the titans of nephrology whose leadership and early work laid a strong foundation for kidney care.

To further ‘raise the bar,’ and to help more patients in needed, we will be hosting an elite silent auction - a luxurious auction like none other that the kidney community has undertaken before! This is where we require your generous support, through the donation of a Gift Certificate, Product Donation or Other Donation. As an auction investor, you will be given broad recognition, as your company’s name will receive special exposure at the event (200 + attendees), on our event program book and through our Auction communications.
