Description

Nearly 110,000 U.S. patients are currently waiting for solid organ transplants, with up to 20,000 more searching for a cord blood, marrow or stem cell match. Each day, about 95 people receive an organ transplant. Each day, 20 people die waiting for an organ transplant.

The numbers are overwhelming, but there is a way you can give hope to someone who needs your help. The family of one-year-old Savanna Wrobel, has asked our community and the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for support and guidance. Savanna has Biliary Atersia and is in need of an immediate liver transplant. COTA helps families who are facing a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support.  COTA funds are used for transplant-related expenses, and COTA’s services are provided free of charge. The COTA for Savanna Strong community campaign is organizing events and activities in the area to help families like the Wrobel’s.

A team of family and friends are working to raise needed funds for transplant-related expenses. We are counting on the generosity of local businesses and people who can donate their time, energy and resources.  All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. COTA will provide a charitable gift receipt for contributions of more than $75, and volunteers will provide receipts for gifts of products or services.

Will you help us give hope to the Wrobel family?

We are extremely grateful any contribution large or small. I am happy to contact to chat about the event, the family or any other questions you may have. We would love any gift certificates, experiences, products or party package to have for an auction for families to enjoy!
