Description

The Orange County Soccer Club Community Foundation (OCSCCF) is thrilled to be hosting our 2nd Annual Gala to raise funds for the free after school soccer programming we are providing to youth in underserved communities in Orange County.

OCSCCF launched operations in 2020, with the mission of using soccer as a vehicle to promote health and wellness, develop youth leadership, advance social change, and create positive community impact.  Although we are a young nonprofit, we have already made an enormous impact on the OC community.  We have given significant grants, for example to Second Harvest Food Bank during the height of the pandemic, and hosted free virtual and in-person soccer clinics for thousands of kids.  We even created an entire virtual soccer curriculum for OC schools when students were doing school from home.

In 2022, we launched a free after-school soccer league for Santa Ana Unified School District 4th and 5th grade boys and girls, and we will be continuing to offer this soccer league in the 2023-24 academic year.  We will also be launching a similar soccer league in Anaheim Elementary Schools in October 2023.

Both communities are considered underserved, with per capita and median household income significantly lower than those of OC and California and unemployment and poverty rates significantly higher than those of OC and California.  The school districts are almost entirely comprised of economically disadvantaged students who score below the rest of the county on key health metrics.  These are communities that love soccer and need our help.

We are hosting our gala on February 3, 2024, at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa in order to raise funds for these after-school soccer leagues and we would appreciate your help!

Auction donors will be recognized at the event and on the dedicated gala website which will be pushed out to nearly 40,000 people.  This is a great way to reach new and loyal customers.  Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Thank you for your consideration.
