The Orion Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable trust established in memory of Orion T., a local resident and UC San Diego student who died from brain cancer in April 2004. The Orion Fund provides grants to deserving California college students suffering from serious health challenges and yet striving to complete their educational goals. Since 2005, we have assisted students of community colleges, colleges and universities across the state with the purchase of essential medications, medical equipment, surgery costs, laptop computers, mental health expenses, medically related travel, and more. At our annual fundraiser we are holding a golf tournament, dinner and raffle on Saturday, October 28 at the Chardonnay Golf Course in Napa Valley.
