The YMCA of the East Bay has received a grant from Kaiser Permanente National Community Benefit Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation to increase vaccination rates to youth ages 5-11 especially among the communities hardest hit by the pandemic and address inequitable access barriers that prevent timely vaccination. The YMCA of the East Bay will conduct OUR BEST SHOT Campaign to promote vaccination, outreach, and education to families in low-income communities through existing message channels and support vaccination registration. Outreach to more than 15,000 people will receive information regarding the vaccine where to access and why it's important to get the vaccine. Marketing materials will be distributed to all of our 30 Early Learning Centers (1200 children and families) including the Teen Center for youths and 5 YMCAs in the East Bay. For everyone that completes our registration form, will be entered into a weekly drawing for prizes from mid-March to end of April. We're hoping your organization will donate to include as weekly raffles or depending on the number of tickets donated and the number of registration forms completed by families, we may be able to offer each person a ticket/gift bag. No live event will take place. It's too early to predict the number of attendees/registrants. The campaign kicks-off February 1, 2022 and will run to April 30, 2022.
