Description

CFLC's 10th Annual "Our Family, Our Future" celebration is a great evening of food, entertainment, a silent auction, and raffles to raise money to support the children, youth, and families receiving services from CFLC's various programs.

CFLC offers the following programs and services:

Safecare - CFLC is contracted through Riverside County to provide evidenced-based, in-home parent education to parents of children ages 0-5 who are at risk for or have been reported for child neglect, physical abuse, or at risk of being removed.

Resource Family & Adoption - CFLC provides adoption services and certified foster homes to children who are dependents or wards of the court in Riverside County and San Bernardino County.

Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) – CFLC has three homes that provide community-integrated living for foster youth and non-minor dependents who require a higher level of care and behavioral health services in a trauma-informed home-like environment.

Job Training & Education – CFLC has over 25 years of experience providing job training and education programs to youth ages 16-24, which include foster youth, juvenile offenders, youth in out-of-home placement, high school dropouts, youth with disabilities, pregnant and parenting teens, youth in kinship care, and homeless/runaway youth. CFLC operates three of Riverside County’s Youth Opportunity Center’s (Hemet, Lake Elsinore, Rubidoux) with Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding from Riverside County Workforce Development Board. CFLC partners with Riverside County Office of Education to provide education services at our three Youth Opportunity Centers. CFLC partners with the Department of Rehabilitation to offer work readiness and work experience to students with disabilities and we partner with Riverside County to coordinate the Board of Supervisors Youth Commission and Legislative Intern Program to provide Riverside County Youth with leadership opportunities and community service activities.

Kin Care (Kinship Support Services Program) assists relative caregivers, promoting permanency and family stability. Kin Care support services include counseling, recreation, advocacy, parenting classes, tutoring services, support groups, community resources, and assistance navigating the legal system in regard to guardianship.

Strengthening Families - Evidence-based parent and child education primarily aims to strengthen parenting skills, build family strengths, enhance youth's success, and reduce risk factors for behavioral, emotional, and social problems in high-risk youth ages 6-11.
