Your donation will support First Chance for Children, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and their families in our community through addressing basic needs, strengthening parent-child relationships, and promoting equity for all families in 13 mid-Missouri counties. Our mission is to provide comprehensive early childhood programs and family resources that empower parents and caregivers, ensuring every child can thrive. We offer a range of services to over 5,000 a year, including access to diapers, cribs for families without a safe place for their infants to sleep, early learning resources, home visitation, parent education, and spaces for children and their families to grow essential skills through play.  

This work helps address set the foundation for kindergarten readiness which significantly impacts a child's lifelong educational trajectory and broader life outcomes and the social determinants of health that significantly impact children's lifelong health and well-being. By providing essential resources and support to families, we help create a stable and nurturing environment that promotes healthy development and positive health outcomes.
