Our organization, Paws Across Oswego County, is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue (Tax ID 22-3729416). We foster dogs in need and prepare them for successful adoption, while also providing support to our community! Our organization is dedicated to assisting local animal shelters and dog control officers, promoting responsible pet ownership, and caring for homeless animals including training, vetting, and finding appropriate forever homes. Some of our pups have made quite the impact in many lives across the country! You may have come across some of their stories, like Kisses for Kevin, Smiles for Brody or Justice for Apollo- just a few of the amazing lives we have had the pleasure of being a part of.  

Each year, PAOC typically hosts an Open House event to help raise funds for our rescue organization and fosters. It has been previously regarded as our biggest fundraising effort of the year, and our best opportunity to personally connect with the community. Because of pandemic challenges, this event has not been possible for the past 2 years. We are pleased to announce our Open House will return this year on June 4th! The event will be held at Paws & Effect, a local kennel that supports and houses our foster animals. 100% of event proceeds directly benefit the animals in our care! 

The day includes over 20 local vendors and crafters, fun and unique food trucks, inspiring rescue groups and awareness programs, and plenty of activities for our 500+ expected visitors. This is all led up to with promotions, sneak peeks and ways to get involved shared to our almost 30 thousand dedicated social media followers, and spread far beyond the roots of our incredible volunteer network. 

During this event, we hold a silent auction and a handful of “large item” raffles compiled of generously donated items from gift certificates and baskets, to special items and unique experiences. Our group is endlessly grateful to anyone who can help us give all we can to our furry friends. We will advertise this leading up to and on the day of the event for all of our contributors and the community to acknowledge such generosity. Gifts provided to PAOC for this event push our fundraising success, resulting in an enormous impact to our organization! 

Paws Across Oswego County looks forward to hosting this event and bringing the community together for some post-winter fun, while celebrating a great cause by helping the animals currently in our care, and those to come.
