Description

Parents of ACT (PACT) is currently seeking donations for their Annual Winter Silent Auction and concession stand as a fundraiser to support EASTCONN’s Arts at the Capitol Theater Performing Arts Magnet High School and its students.

PACT's Winter Silent Auction runs in conjunction with ACT’s fall semester musical which we are happy to announce will be Funny Girl with a book by Isobel Lennart, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Bob Merrill. ACT’s production of Funny Girl and PACT’s silent auction will run from Thursday December 5th through Saturday, December 7th.  ACT’s fall musical is one of our highest attended events entertaining around 600 guests each year.

PACT supports full school events including field day and prom as well as purchasing planners for all ACT students, providing graduating seniors with some financial support by the way of the PACT scholarship, and so much more. This year we hope to be able to purchase some items for the school that their budget cannot accommodate, including but not limited to a system to check guest IDs before entering the building and a class set of pocket microscopes for the science lab.

Arts at the Capitol Theater (ACT) is located in the historic Capitol Theater on Main Street in Willimantic, CT. ACT enrolls students looking for intensive study in the performing arts. Our school’s curriculum integrates performing arts with traditional high school academic classes allowing students to pursue education in Acting and Vocal Performance, Audio/Video Production, Creative Writing, Dance and Theater Production (set construction, lighting design, and costuming) while completing state assigned graduation requirements.

Donors will be recognized in our show’s program, in the lobby where the silent auction is staged and on ACT's Facebook page.

Donated items, gift certificates and concession stand refreshments are greatly appreciated and each year positively impact our school community.
