I am writing to you on behalf of the Parkway YMCA. We are excited to be holding our 12
th Annual Parkway YMCA Open Golf Tournament on September 6th 2022 at the Blue Hills Country Club. We are seeking donations of product, gift certificates, or tickets to raffle and award at the event. This event will host approximately 200 people. When the devastating effects of COVID-19 swept across the country and landed on our doorsteps, we
quickly mobilized to provide our community with essential services. Thanks to the unwavering support of our members, volunteers and donors, The Parkway Community YMCA has been able to continue offering people a critical lifeline as we work to help our community recover and thrive. These services include:
• 36,060 hours of afterschool activities for children
• 30,300 meals provided to members of our community
• Provided 60 teens in our community with fulfilling summer employment
The proceeds of this tournament will go to the Parkway YMCA’s Annual Fund, which provides
scholarships for youth and families in West Roxbury and surrounding communities. Your donation will help a family afford summer camp, cancer survivors regain their health, or provide a child in one of our after-school programs a safe place to play, learn, and grow.
Attached is a copy of the most recent ST-2 Extension Form which renewed our statues as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, as well as a general information sheet containing my contact information and information about the Parkway YMCA and our 12th Annual Parkway YMCA Open Golf Tournament, should it assist you in making your decision.
