At the West Suburban Humane Society, we take in and care for close to 800 animals each year. Even when we had to close to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, care for our animals continued. Since we have restarted adoptions, we’ve found homes for 170 animals. Each animal that gets adopted makes space for another to come into the West Suburban Humane Society family. The monthly cost to do this work ranges from $60-65,000 a month. 

This year we are holding our sixth annual online holiday Pawction, from December 2nd - December 13th.  Last year, we raised just under $16,000 by auctioning off more than 150 gift baskets, gift certificates and other donated items. The money raised allows us to say yes to more animals and their needs from food and shelter to working with our behaviorists and medical procedures. Our goal this year is to raise $18,000 so we can continue to say yes to animals in need.
