Description

Paws for Domestic Violence Survivors, a  5k run/walk is a benefit for Praline's Backyard Foundation. The Foundation financially and logistically support the housing of pets of domestic violence survivors anywhere in the United States. In addition to raising funds for a great cause, the race aims to bring attention to an often-overlooked barrier for survivors of domestic violence - the safety and well-being of their pets.

Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs along for the walk or run, We have planned exciting activities at each mile marker to keep your dog engaged and entertained. There will be command stations that include sit, down, and roll over, as well as a dog seesaw and a dog agility course at the end of the race and lots of Instagrammable moments along the way

Our goal is to create an inclusive and enjoyable event for both you and your dog while raising awareness of an often overlooked barrier and funds to house pets of domestic violence. Sixty dollars of each registration fee will go towards housing the pet of a domestic violence survivor for one night. We hope you will join us for this meaningful cause.

As a participant, you will receive a Go Bag ( a small replica of what is given to each foster pet parent that houses a survivor's pet), race t-shirt, and your pet will receive a special bandana highlighting 'No Dog Left Behind.' There will also be prizes for the top finishers, as well as a raffle with exciting prizes donated by local businesses. Snacks and refreshments will also be available for all participants.

By participating in this event, you can make a difference in the lives of both pets and survivors affected by domestic violence.
