SARG (Shelter Animals Rescue Group) will once again hold its annual Paws for Life Gala on Friday, April 1, 2022, at St. Mary’s Family Life Center in Oak Ridge, TN.  Over the eight years we previously hosted this event, we had 1300+ attendees at this live and silent auction, with a net financial result of over $150,000.  Proceeds from this event will be used to conduct monthly spay/neuter clinics for low-income pet owners, provide food and pet supplies to low-income seniors, and aid those in the community who might otherwise be able to keep a pet due to an unexpected veterinary cost. During the pandemic unlike a lot of rescue groups we did not “close” down.  We did continue to help many people with unexpected veterinary costs due to being out of work, purchased pet food and supplies and also helped 2 of our local shelters not to close by assisting with spay and neutering and some medical bill and transport expenses of animals from the South to North region to be able to be adopted.
