9th Annual Pearls & Possibilities Gala

Please allow this letter to introduce you to Liberty House of Albany, Inc. We are seeking your support for our 9th Annual “Pearls and Possibilities Gala” on October 15, 2022.  Located in Dougherty County, the Liberty House is the only domestic violence program that provides emergency shelter and outreach services for seventeen counties in the Southwest Georgia area.   These counties include:  Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Dougherty, Early, Lee, Macon, Miller, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster.

            Since 1981, Liberty House has been providing emergency shelter and services to victims of domestic violence and their children.  In 2021, Liberty House sheltered 162 women and children, served 136 persons through outreach services and received 1,116 crisis calls.   Domestic violence affects persons of all ages, races, and economic circumstances. The assistance and support provided by the Liberty House is available to all who seek help at no charge.  We moved into our new shelter on December 8, 2020, which is a wonderful new facility designed specifically for our clients so that they can begin healing from their trauma. 

            As a sponsor of our fundraising event, businesses and individuals have the opportunity to support the Liberty House in its mission. Your contributions are an essential element to the advancement of this non-profit organization and will allow us to continue keeping victims and their children safe.
