Consider donating a top prize for our Pedal for Hope 20th Anniversay Campaign. Pedal for Hope Event that takes place with the Durham Regional Police and Peterborough Police, every year they pedal hundreds of kms untied together in support of children living with cancer, their families and raise money for pediatric cancer research.

Currently I am working with Police Services across Canada to gain awareness and support. Specifically, I am working on Pedal for Hope. Pedal for Hope is a Durham Region and Peterborough, Ontario cycling tour that happens in May. This May it is scheduled to take place from May 6th to May 10th, 2024. Pedal for Hope is made of officers, and personnel that commit to riding approx. 100km a day visiting schools long the way sharing impactful messages about cancer, and how important it is for children to see us united for those facing a cancer diagnoses. This year we will be pedaling into 23+ schools and visiting many children! Pedal for Hope is seeking partners to help build the program and support their efforts, so no child (and their families) face cancer alone. One of the highlights of Pedal for Hope is that they are the sole reason for the Pediatric Family Counselling Service was created in 2019. During Covid this program continued to run, and support these families through a very difficult time, adding the compound stressors of the pandemic. Fast-forward to 2021, The Canadian Cancer Society was able to support funding to expand the program to young adults that were/are still dealing with the aftereffects and life challenges that a childhood diagnoses can bare on them as they grow into young adults.

Pedal for Hope had a very successful 2023 event, with over 23 school raising funds along side the police services involved. With the involvement of the communities and fantastic prizing, which included passes from you, we raised OVER $142,000!!! That was 250% over our budget!

Overall, this is why this year we are looking to partner, and secure prizing from experience and fun businesses such as yours, where children and families can take time to not think about life stressors of a childhood cancer diagnoses and create lasting memories. We are seeking prizing, family pass or individual passes for students and their families.
