Hi, I’m Christin Flucke, the Youth and the Children’s Ministry Director at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene, Iowa. Our high school “Luther League” youth are raising funds for a week- long service and Adventure trip to Camp Kirchenwald in Lebanon, Pennsylvania this July. To raise funds for our trip, we are hosting a Philly Cheesesteak Dinner and Silent Auction fundraising event on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 11:00-1:00 at St. Peter Lutheran Church.

We are excited to have a great group of youth and adults from churches in Greene and Allison participating in this trip. In Pennsylvania, we will be engaging in local service projects including working with kids, serving those facing food insecurity, and helping with outdoor projects around the camp. In addition, we’ll be going on some awesome outdoor adventures such as white water rafting and caving. The trip also includes the opportunity for some educational experiences including visiting the Gettysburg National Military Park.

To make our Cheesesteak fundraiser a success, we are asking you to help us out by donating an item or gift certificate to our silent auction for supporters to bid on during the event.

All items donated are greatly appreciated, and your contributions are tax deductible. A receipt will be delivered to you when your donation is received. Donated items will also be displayed with your business’ name and shared with the 300+ attendees we anticipate having, as well as in our online publicity.
