Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services (GHNPSS) is pleased to celebrate Doug Gifford as the 2024 Pillar of the Community. The event will be held at Indian Valley Country Club on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm

We are thrilled to recognize Doug Gifford as the 2024 Pillar of the Community for his long-standing commitment to making Lower Salford Township a wonderful place to live and work. Through his role as a member of the Lower Salford Township Board of Supervisors, he championed the relationship between Encore Experiences and the Township; ensuring that GHNPSS has a dedicated space to provide active adults with programs and resources well into their later years.

Doug is a true community servant. He first joined the Lower Salford Township Board of Supervisors in 1990 and would remain a committed member until his retirement in 2023. He served twice as the Chairman; first from 1996 to 1998 and again from 2002 through 2022. In addition, Doug was a member of the Lower Salford Township Zoning Hearing Board and a member of the Lower Salford Township Recreation Authority, currently serving as Chairman. His colleagues sing his praises, expressing that, Doug “has truly been (and continues to be) a very integral part of Lower Salford Township and the surrounding community. We here at the Township can honestly say that we are a better place to live, work and play because of his selfless efforts.”

The Pillar of the Community event includes an include an hors d’oeurve reception and 3-course meal, silent and live auction, and award cemony. By supporting the Pillar of the Community Event, you will pay tribute to Doug Gifford and help GHNPSS provide vital services to Seniors at our two locations: Encore Experiences in Harleysville and The PEAK Center in Lansdale. GHNPSS delivers outstanding programs and critical services that help older adults build meaningful connections, have access to nutritious meals, engage in intellectually stimulating programs, and participate in wellness classes so they can thrive.
