Description

Again this year, generous people from all over the Bay Area will gather at Pinot and Poppies, to enjoy good food and wine, surrounded by beautiful California Poppies, on Sunday, April 23, 2022, at 1449 Cloudview Drive, in Pleasant Hill.  And again this year, the proceeds of this fun event is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Pinot and Poppies is an afternoon of sun, fun, wine, awareness, bocce, foods, community, music and fun.  Two of the highly anticipated highlights are the live and silent auctions.  We know that a donation from your popular business will generate excitement at the auctions.  In return for your donation, people will be told about your support in the promotional materials, event program and auction signage, all to provide a wonderful opportunity for you to promote goodwill in the community.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening, genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems of about 35,000 children and adults in the US – nearly a thousand of which are right here in Northern California.  Well over 10,000,000 Americans are unknowing carriers of the defective CF gene.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s top priority remains to speed the development of therapies that target the basic genetic defect. As a result of the work of CFF, the life expectancy of a child with CF has more than doubled in the last 30 years, and for the first time, more than half of the people with CF in the US are adults.

CFF’s unique and highly successful approach to funding the development of drugs and treatments for this devastating disease has resulted in a continuous pipeline of approved and new therapies for CF, and is a model for other nonprofit health organizations – it has been called the “best story in medicine.”  But, we are not done, and cannot stop, until there is a cure for everyone with CF.

Your support will mean “more tomorrows” for all of the kids and adults with CF.  After all, don’t we all want “more tomorrows?”  May we count on you again to help with a donation?

We look forward to hearing from you.  Thanks.
