Platinum Jubilee
Gala/Party for Mount Saint Charles AcademyApr 22, 2024 12:00 PM to Apr 27, 2024 10:00 PM
A Centennial gala event as Mount Saint Charles Academy celebrates one century of academic excellence in the tradition of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Our mission of educating young men and women to use their gifts and talents for the benefit of others has prevailed for 100 years. We aspire to continue this vital charge for another 100 years as we move into our second century. We continue to grow our community where students are known, valued and treasured.
Our annual gala event is our largest fundraiser of the year, and this year, we are celebrating the history of our first century. A combination of fundraising activities as well as activities recognizing the accomplishments achieved and relationships grown during those years will be presented at this event. We anticipate a guest list of about 500 alumni, faculty/staff - present and former - parents of current students and alumni, friends and sponsors to attend this evening of fundraising and "friend-raising".
Support is vital for the event to be successful and the tradition to be carried forth. It will consist of cocktails/dinner buffet with live music. Guests will be able to participate in exciting raffles, a short Live Auction, several "buy it now" sale items, and a Fund-A-Need appeal. interspersed will be short reminisces about our history in speeches and video. We will also hold a virtual auction during the week prior to the event in order to engage those who are unable to attend in person and expand the fundraising base. Donations to our virtual and live auctions as well as raffle items and gift card sale are necessary for us to achieve our goals. We are seeking items or experiences to enhance those we obtain from local vendors.
Thank you for any consideration you can give to our centennial celebration. As a private school, fundraising is always a priority to meet the gap that exists between tuition revenue and the actual cost to educate a student. The continuation of the Mount tradition is so important today as we need young people educated to become global citizens and community leaders.
