HI! My name is Bailee Burch, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of the
Play for Kade foundation.
Play for Kade was created to honor the precious life of Kade Dylan Contreras. Kade spent most
of his 4 ½ years at a sports field cheering on his brothers and friends. Most often he could be
found batting his eye lashes at the concession ladies asking for one more piece of candy, which
he always got! On Christmas Eve 2017 Kade was involved in a tragic accident. In lieu of flowers,
loved ones were asked to donate towards youth registration fees for baseball or softball
upcoming Spring season. There was a generous outpouring and a greater need. From there Play
for Kade was born.
Kades mother, Courtney, started this organization with the goal of paying registration fees for
youth to participate in sports. To date, P4K, has sponsored over 200 children in various sports in
Chambers, Liberty, Montgomery, and San Jacinto Counties. We have also expanded into
providing scholarships for high school seniors, providing school supplies, assisting families with
medical needs, and are always looking for more ways to help.
On October 4th & 5th, 2024, we will host our 7th Annual P4K tournament in Cleveland, Texas at the
Municipal Park located on SH-321. This is a family friendly event that includes an 18-team bracket
for Co-Ed Softball, Youth Color Run, Food Trucks, and a Silent Auction. This event brings in a huge
crowd and is always filled with laughter and fun for all.
Currently, we are reaching out for items, gift cards, or monetary donations for our Silent Auction.
Thanks to generous donations, last year we were able to raise an additional $6,000. All donors
will be acknowledged on our website, social platforms, media releases, and signage throughout
the event.
For more information, please feel free to reach out to me at the above email or phone number.
Thank-you
