The Podunk Bluegrass Festival, established in 1996, is held each August in Connecticut and celebrates both traditional and contempoary bluegrass music. Held at the Goshen Fairgrounds in Litchfield County, the festival hosts national, regional and local artists. Beyond it's main stage acts, Podunk offers a variety of activities including a song writing and band competition, workshops, a kids academy and ample opportunites for impromptu jam sessions. Recognized for its family friendly atmosphere, the festival has received such accolades as IBMA's event of the year and "Best Festival in Connecticut."
