This year the museum has reimagined the “Gala Fundraiser” as the “Poor Farm Palooza Fundraiser!” on July 19, 2024 from 6-9pm. We are excited to have a “new” fun summer fundraiser as an in-person event with live music by Cheeseburgers In Paradise, delicious food by City Barbeque, a beer tent (included with ticket), side raffle prizes, online silent auction & more!

In addition to a year full of community welcoming-events, educational programs, and family-focused activities, we will also be doing a lot of planning for 2025. Museum staff will be installing a large World War II exhibit in the Spring of 2025. We are gathering stories from some of the amazing WWII Veterans in the surrounding area, pulling artifacts from our collections in storage, and drawing plans for the ‘exhibit set’. This of course means raising additional funds for the construction of the exhibit and the technology that goes with it. This year’s fundraiser will be used in part to help us cover the costs associated with a quality exhibit that weaves many stories and memories from WWII into an enriching experience for visitors.
